My Thoughts on Huntsman

Earlier this week I asked for your questions and you guys really delivered! There are tons of interesting, thoughtful questions and I’m excited to answer them over the next few weeks. The first question I’m going to answer is from user JR Kamra, who asked:
“What is your take on why no one liked Jon Huntsman? I thought the dude was legit and he was the one candidate that the Obama Administration really didn't want to go up against. But, for whatever reason, he didn't appeal to the right? What are your thoughts on why, and do you feel if he had the support of high profile politicians (your father) things would have been different?”
Hi JR Kamra- Unfortunately, Jon Huntsman ran a bad campaign right from the start. He never had a cohesive message or could even answer the simple question of whether he is more of a moderate or conservative Republican. I also think it was a hindrance to his campaign that he went from literally working for the Obama administration, supporting Obama’s policies, to resigning as ambassador and running for President. I also don’t think he was as aggressive or as strong as he should have been in the debates. Presidential politics is a weird animal. Why does someone like Herman Cain resonate so strongly to some people and Jon Huntsman not to others? I think that for better or worse, this isn’t the last we have seen of a Jon Huntsman campaign for President. I think 2012 was just the opener...remember, running for President is an addiction stronger than black tar heroin.
That great question was just one of many, but don’t let it stop there! Have some other questions up your sleeve? Leave them for me in the comments section below.

What his stance on economic issues as it relates to China is problematic. I was looking forward to hearing his ideas and seeing his family and him more. he seems to be a great person. I certainty hope Gov. Huntsman doesn't fade away from serving in some capacity nationally.
It is unfortunate that Gov. Romney is just very well known and liked in this part of the country. The LDS faith is not an issue here.
I think that the GOP is good but, some of the Candidates in the primary are just out of touch with voters. The exception of Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Mitt Romney.
