Though the new McCainBlogette.com also has a political section, I figured the 2012 Presidential Election deserved a space of its own. In this category we’ll cover everything election and I would love to hear your opinions. Obamas war chest will be a billion dollars and he will beat any non romney candidate soundly. If unemployment is around 8 and trending down he'll beat him big 2. You gotta remember campaigning is giving speeches and no matter what you repubs think of his presidency thus far, I think most of you would concede he's a gifted orator. Mitt on the other hand, has a tendency to say at least one odd, obviously pandering thing a week. This weekend he dropped a Kim kardashian wedding reference. Sorry guys 4more years.

Look at 04. The country knew Bush was an incompetent doushe, (and in no way am I comparing 0bama to Bush) but they still weren't ready to give the keys to an awkward flip flopper. If Gdub successfully made the case for a second term, Obama and his people in Chicago will 2.

Ms. McCain - I appreciate your approach of bringing balance back into the Republican Party. The GOP used to be fairly decent until the right-wing extremists took over and ran all of the sensible moderates out. I myself am now an Independent, not affiliated with any party at all because none of them represent my views. Still - I find myself voting Democratic more often than not because most of what I see and hear from Republicans is anger, biterness, racial bigotry, intolerance, and support for policies that just end up hurting people. Their pre-disposition to social issues along with an almost Taliban-style approach that Americans must live their lifestyles "in the way that we tell them to or else" is destroying this party. I'm afraid that the only solution is going to be that the party will have to suffer enormous losses at the polls before things can change for the better. Well - the current crop of Republican presidential candidates is almost laughable. And - with the likes of Rush Limbaugh and others running off their mouths with whatever vitriol crosses their minds is going to turn off voters big time. I fully expect that our current President will win the election in a landslide and that may actually turn out to be a good thing. You go girl!

It should be clear sailing to 1,144 for Mitt now. Maybe a few squalls along the way, but he's clearly gonna be the man before too many more primaries. He's by far the most electable in a run against Obama, as the polls are proving and as the White House is showing. Santorum's a one-dimensional candidate and Gingrich is in it just for the grudge he's carried against Romney since the Iowa caucuses. The party might not be all that enthused about Mitt, but they are very enthused about getting rid of Obama and will rally strongly behind him in the general campaign and on Nov. 6. Mitt will run on his economic plan and jobs, with minors in foreign, military and social policy, and also emphasize the anybody-but-Obama theme. Of course, Obama's failures (e.g., Solyndra, Fast & Furious, etc., etc.) will be continually highlighted. It's gonna be an interesting seven-plus months, esp. the presidential debates, which are majorly important in deciding who gets elected. For the record, I'm an Obamabot, if I haven't said so already.
