Today, Heather, Shannon and I accompanied my mother to the White House. (Dad went yesterday.) Before there are any peanut gallery comments, no it didn't feel like a "home." At home, I lounge around in sweatpants. We met Mrs. Bush and Jenna who gave us a tour. It is everything people say it is and more. Just truly, absolutely breathtaking. However, I do think it's in need of some modern art. I was an art history major after all and love everything Andy Warhol has done - there should be one in the White House! I wish we could show you pictures, but unfortunately we were not allowed to take any photos. Just know that if you ever get the chance to visit DC, be sure you see the White House. I hadn't been there since I was a little girl and it's still a spectacular experience. The girls and I are heading to New York for a much needed weekend off. We will be back on the trail Tuesday. We have a video coming up this weekend and a new collection of viewer mail. We'll see everyone soon!!! xoxoxo

Last night, my dad officially became the Republican presumptive nominee for President of the United States! I don't think it has really sunk in yet. First, I thank the people of Texas, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island for pushing it over the top last night. I also send out a huge thanks to the campaign staff and tireless volunteers we have who stuck with my Mom and Dad when everyone had seemingly counted us out. What a great moment for them all. You guys are the best!!! So, now we know what this means: the "Blogette" lives on another eight months! Yes, that's right. We'll be blogging, posting, taking pics, filming video, and wreaking havoc on the traveling press right up until election day in November. Brace yourselves, this is just the beginning.

Today's a big day. A really big day. And we've seen nothing but crowds and crowds of great people at every stop. The energy is reaching all time highs and we can really feel it. Through all the nonstop actvity, it's reaffirming to see this morning's article on Politco.com - a site we love to read and check everyday. Click here to read "Chelsea and Meghan: A tale of two daughters" by Helena Andrews. Thank you to everyone for the kind words. We'll keep you posted on today and tonight's activities as soon as we can!

Yesterday my parents hosted a BBQ at our cabin in Sedona, Arizona for the press who have been traveling with us on the campaign. It was a beautiful afternoon and it was great to hang out with everyone on the deck in a relaxed and casual atmosphere. My dad grilled chicken and his traditional dry ribs (he uses lots of garlic salt, lemon pepper, and lemons) and the food was delicious. He also gave everyone a tour (the cabin is one of his favorite places to unwind) and made sure everyone saw his favorite fruit trees and flowers up close. Today we're in Waco and traveling around Texas again for the next few days.
